During the "Golden Hour" after birth, babies have an incredible ability to find their mother's breast on their own. Newborns have a highly developed sense of smell, and they can actually detect the scent of amniotic fluid on their mother's skin. This helps them navigate their way to the breast, facilitating a natural and instinctual latch for breastfeeding.
